Today, the only new 55+ communities with prices starting under $200,000 here in Florida that I know of will be manufactured home communities. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, that was a different story. There were a handful of communities with homes starting in the $100k's at that time.

Residents can enjoy resort-style amenities including a central lake, a massive clubhouse with a pool, miles of nature trails, and more. Single-family homes and villas are available in sizes ranging from 1,500 sq. There are 23 floor plans available with prices ranging to suit every budget starting in the $200k’s. Now, whether you own a $99,000 home or a $999,999 home, if you are a resident of The Villages you're afforded the same rights and privileges as the next guy. Now, as you probably know, many of the communities you'll find in Florida have a wide range of price points.

Through Vero Beach and to the north is Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. This is a perfect spot for those who love to explore nature, as Vero Beach offers 80 acres of McKee Botanical Garden. With so many beautiful options for 55 and over mobile home communities in Florida, we have rounded up some of the best in the state to make it easier for you to make your decision. Lake Griffin Harbor Village

Homes range in size from 1,641 to 2,034 square feet. La Casa boasts of having the best pools in the area. There is an extremely large swimming pool, maintained at a perfect 87 degrees, and a smaller pool that is quietly nestled between the clubhouse and activity building. Both pools have adjacent hot tubs perfect for soaking tired muscles after playing golf or tennis.

Central Florida extends from Ocala in Marion County southward to Lake Okeechobee. It consists of cities such as Leesburg, The Villages, Mount Dora, Orlando, Winter Park, Lakeland, Winter Haven, Lake Wales, Sebring and Lake Placid. The area spans twelve counties, though most of the population resides in the northern half of the region in Marion County, Lake County, Sumter County, Orange County, Osceola County and Polk County. They are by far the most affordable home ownership option and continue to sell well despite the current economic recession and recent housing market struggles. New manufactured homes are available from dealers. Locally communities may also have used manufactured homes for sale already in place which would be very convenient and even less costly. 55 plus mobile home communities are designed with seniors in mind and often feature amenities such as a clubhouse, pool and organized social functions. Communities often feature nightly activities geared towards seniors such as bingo, shuffleboard, art classes, card games, aerobics and crafts. Manufactured homes have become popular with seniors because of their affordability.

Aside from daily events, such as group fitness, crafts, and potlucks, residents gather in a community dinner and dance every month. Located in beautiful Port St. Lucie, Del Web Tradition is a gated community of 550 attached and single-family homes that began construction in 2017. Amenities here include a large clubhouse, a resort-style outdoor pool, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Located just a bit north of Fort Lauderdale, Four Seasons at Parkland is a luxury community of 538 single-family homes built around 12 beautiful lakes.

The community features lakeside and preserve homesites. Lawn care is included in HOA fees and there are no CDD fees. There are 7 different floorplans available ranging in size from 1,623 to 2,033 sq.

Ormond Renaissance – Ormond Beach, FL

Cresswind at PGA Village Verano is a community of 249 single-family homes that is located right in the heart of Florida’s Treasure Coast near Port St. Lucie. There are three classes of models at Verandah Preserve, ranging in size from 1,410 sq. Ft. of living space to just over 2,800 sq.

After that there are two different collections of Single-Family Homes which max out at around 2,500 sq. It only makes sense that there would be more new 55+ communities in Florida than in any other state, and I believe this is the most up-to-date list around. This large triple wide mobile home in Ranchero Village is a rare 3 bedroom 2 full bath home, or 2 bedrooms and office or craft room. The third bedroom has access to a full bath.

Lake Ashton – Winter Haven, FL

Clearwater, Florida, is just minutes away from the community and the greater Tampa Bay area. Residents get to enjoy the outdoors in nearby city parks, picnic areas, racquetball and tennis courts, golf course, boating and fishing spots, and white sand beaches. If you’ve always dreamed of spending your retirement in sunny Florida, then look no further than Hyde Park Village, an active 55+ community on the doorstep of Downtown Winter Garden.
